A custom smoker pit was designed and built for Pottsville Pizza. Size was determined by the need to fit stainless trays onto each grill rack. Thus a 700mm x 1500mm main chamber was designed. The customer also wanted this pit to be a reverse flow smoker pit and specified a square firebox. Rystar designed this pit with dual firebox dampers, an ash drawer for east clean out, custom steel wheels and custom counterweights. A flanged flue extension was included so the customer could choose to fit a longer flue if required. Finally, the customer wanted a simple, clean look for the main chamber door. Build time was 1 1/2 weeks once all parts had been received.
A custom, semi-commercial smoker pit was designed for the Soul Cafe in Ballina. Size was determined by the customer wanting 2 racks and be able to fit 5 or 6 packer briskets in at once. Thus our standard 500mm chamber was used but extended to 1500mm long. Firebox was up-sized to power the larger chamber. This smoker pit is a conventional flow with movable tuning plates. Some of the other custom features of this pit are the inclusion of a clean-out door, a flanged flue to enable fitting of a 3m flue extension complete with butterfly damper, and padlock tabs on all doors. Build time was 1 week once all parts were received.
